Fallout 3: GOTY - are the bugs as bad for the 360 that the PS3 users have?
Assassins Creed II - I heard it wasn't as repetitive but I don't think It has much replay value
Modern Warfare 2 - played this at a friends, I loved the story and action, but I don't have Xbox Live which is the main focus of the game. Spec Ops was fun too, but I don't think that would keep me happy very long
The Saboteur - I've been following this from the beginning stages of the game for awhile but I heard that there is no reason to be stealthy because even from the start your a one man army. and there are supposed to be a lot of bugs

I'd say Fallout 3
Lost track of how many hours I've put into that game, easily +50, maybe closer to +70. I did have my game crash once when the camera tried to go underwater, but that was because my cables were bad.

I borrowed it from my friend and played a good 40-50 hours before giving it back.
Okay, I put FO3: GOTY in my amazon shopping cart and I am kinda unsure about it though, I want to hear from more than that one person that they had little/no freezes, I can handle a few. The game is massive so I can understand a few drops in frame-rate and the occasional crash, but if it's too overwhelming to even log few hours on before a freeze, I won't buy it.

I'd go with Fallout 3 personally. I've had a lot of fun with this game and it definitely will give you the longest amount of fun without having xbox live. Assassins Creed 2 is great, but once you beat it theres nothing really to do, and as for COD MW2, if you can't play the online multiplayer theres no purpose of spending 60 dollars on this game. The campaign is very fun, but also very short so the online multiplayer is the only thing that gives it real replay value.
Played the game loved it one of the most enjoyable games i have played and no freezes :) dont be unsure about getting it as its amazing
I rented Fallout3 ad LOVED it, but I am just not so sure about GOTY, I heard way to much about the constant freezing and low frame rates which renders the game unplayable, of course most of these complaints are coming from PS3 users (because sony probably got cocky and said ''yeah we can handle all of it on one disc'') but I still want to hear from the Xbox crowd.

When I'm playing a game specifically a shooter such as MW2, GRAW2 my controller shuts off for no apparent reason. AC2 doesn't shut off just these two games. I was also playing FNR4 demo and it kept shutting off, it was unplayable for about 2 minutes. how can i unpatch the expaisions that i downloaded because i cant glitch anymore and do i have to be on xbox live to do it?unpatching

Depends how good you are - you can earn a lot of points in games like S%26D, but if you keep getting killed you will spend more time waiting for the rounds to end.
Search and Destroy. Kills give you only 50 exp but you get massive match bonuses for each round you play (think 500-2000 at least 4 times per game). I usually get between 5000-10,000 per game. But if you don't get any kills and don't carry the bomb (or diffuse it) then you don't usually get a match bonus... sometimes you do though, I'm not sure how it works exactly.
For levelling up? Search, each kill is 500xp (though only 50pts go towards your score on the leaderboards), planting / defusing is 1000xp. Also, taking down enemy air support gives you a lot of XP, so try doing that too.

After it disappeared, the shape of the achievement unlocked thing came back up, but it said ''Action Unlocked'' and instead of the xbox logo there was a big ''U'' in blue text with a white background around it.WTF?!WTF was that?

Just finished Dead Space about a 10-12 hr long story a lot of fun only costs around 15-20 bucks and upon completion you get the option to replay the game with all of your previously upgraded equipment and upgrade it more and complete achievments you couldn't complete before, you also unlock the impossible difficulty after completing medium so it could very well last you a lot longer overall a fantastic game that you should buy for a cheap price.
i was really thinking about getting thatdo you know of any other games that i could of passed up that i would like?
It doesn't have much length to it but Bioshock was a fantastic game, gameplay was fun the story was brilliant if your willing to put up gameplay over length this one is awesome and it's on a lower scale for pricing due to it's release date, most of the good longer rpg styled games that i can think of you already have hope this helps gl man. (I heard Dragon Age was great and it can be played for a long time but it just came out and its pricing is pretty hefty if your low on cash.)

But dragon age is definitely good, people who said its bad mostly due they are kids who born in mid90s and have no idea what is the old school computer role playing, such as buldars gate and nwn. It's not an action package. So it's up to you

Ok i was like 200 kills away from seriously 2.0 achievement (100,000 kills total) and like 20 away from party like its 1999. I was also level 75 in multiplayer and then my gears reset!! all the achievements i earned are still there, but everything reset. level 1, all achievement progress lost campaign lost, all gone. im so madddd what should i do?????my gears reset!!!!!!!

I've been wondering, are there any good open world shooters (FPS's that let you roam around the world), or even any good story-driven shoooters. It seems like all the shooters these daysare multiplayer-focused. I got modern warfare 2 and loved it, but the campaign was way too short, so I went back to playing Far cry 2. But I just want to know if there are any other open world/story based shooters i can get.Open World Shooters
There's only two games that I could recommend for this right now.
Borderlands
Despite being open-world, there is almost no story content. Sure, there's occasional narratives, a buttload of quest descriptions, and the like, but absolutely do not expect anything from the story. As for the game itself, it's pretty fun and co-op is a plus, but the RPG aspects are pretty shallow and the world is more linear than it is.
Most of the quests are going from point A to point B with rather simplistic objectives (kill these people, collect these items, etc). There really isn't much else to do other than that and a game like Far Cry 2 probably has more interesting scenarios (i haven't beaten FC2 yet). Borderland's weapon-generation system makes things fresh, though, and the loot system is addicting (think Diablo). The shooting is pretty fun, but if it all had to boil down to it, one thing's for sure: it's a hell of a lot longer than MW2's campaign.

Even though I'm putting this on here, I can't really call Fallout 3 a real FPS. It's more like an RPG that has first-person shooting. The game doesn't ''feel'' like a FPS (even Goldeneye on the N64 and the old Doom games are more FPS-ish), but i'd be wrong if I said there wasn't decent first person shooting. There's a lot more to Fallout 3 than just the shooting. There's a buttload of quests, items, story content, and everything you'd want in an RPG.
The biggest problem with this game for me personall, would be that it feels way, WAY too similar to Oblivion. If it weren't for the fact that Bethesda made this game, the very idea of Fallout 3's gameplay system would start lawsuits up the ass :P.
All I really have to say about Fallout 3 is that you should go in expecting a great RPG, not a great first-person shooter. It's an amazing game that, however, does have some decent shooter mechanics. That's how I view it anyways, so anyone that disagrees can go ahead and rip my ass apart :P

Could you really call Borderlands open world? Specific areas have enemies at specific levels and I'm pretty sure(but not entirely since I'm not too far) thatyou don't gain access to some areas until after you've completed a certain number of quests. You could try and travel around the world freely and take on certain quests later than normal but unless your playing with players at higher levels you're gonna get raped. And even then you aren't allowed to play with players that have more than a ten level gap between you.
I haven't played it, but from reviews it seems like ODST is somewhat open world (at leastmore so than other fps) and the story is also supposedly pretty good.

However it is a huge game with a ton to do, lots of NPC's with thier own stories and a ton to find and it has very satisfying shooting mechanics. For what your asking TC Fallout 3 is your best bet.

I got a Jasper Arcade for Christmas (last year duh) that was made in November and it's been a serious beast for me. I've had it on for 10-20 hours sometimes and it still runs pretty cool.

I'm a PC gamer who is fed up with PC gaming and looking to buy an Xbox 360. I know pretty much all the games I want and I know of most 360 games so that's not a problem. My problem is I don't know what kind of Xbox 360 to get (elite arcade etc) and what features they have. also any insight on xbox live wired vs wiredless but be great too.Xbox 360 n00b

The Arcade comes with 256MB of internal storage, but the compulsory dashboard update known as NXE takes up 128MB. Game saves will quickly fill the remaining space, and within a couple of months nearly all Arcade owners end up wishing they had bought a harddrive.
The Elite comes with 120GB which is a little excessive for most people's needs, but since both the 20GB and 60GB Pro models have been retired, the 120GB Elite is the only model left with a harddrive.
You will need the storage space for downloading demos, arcade games, videos, DLC (extra content for games) and all sorts of other things. You will also need a harddrive if you want to install games to it. Installs take up 3-6.8GB (usually 6GB+) and require the disk to be in the drive, but makes the whole thing much quieter without the disk spinning all the time.
The 360 comes with an ethernet port in the back as standard so you can use a wired connection. If you want to go wireless you would need to purchase a wireless adaptor for it, which are widely regarded as overpriced and unnecessary. If you don't want wires you will have to pay quite a premium to get one. There has recently been a newer model released supporting wireless N if that would make a difference to your decision.

What we want in Halo Reach
Okay, so I cannot wait for Halo Reach, and I'm sure others feel the same way. So i figured I'd make a thread where we can talk about what we want in the game. I'll startCampaign:- Matchmaking- 6 players (assuming you play as the 6 person squad)- 10-15 hour campaign- Wide weapon variety- Epic battles with lots of Spartans and Marines against lots of Covenant- A serious, but not too dark of a theme-Character we loveFirefight(assuming they include it):- Matchmaking- 4+ players- Less Lag- Very similar to ODST'sLast but certainly not least Multiplayer:- Some weapon choice when you start a match, and upgradeable weapons. What I mean by this: BR varieties, such as a full-auto BR with no scope, the 3 shotter one, and a semi-auto one with a scope stronger then the 3's. Since there won't be regenerating shields, and now an actual health system, maybe some people wouldn't have liked it so Bungie wanted to test it out and see how people accepted it.

Call of Duty is released yearly like EA Sports games. Heck, there are more CoD's released on the 360 alone than all Halo's in both Xbox and 360.

Ive decided to get a harry potter game for Xbox 360. The Goblet of Fire was awful and so was the half blood prince. Order of the Phoenix was the better of the three. harry potter games

Why would halo 2 show up in my achieveme ...
I noticed this today, I looked at my achievements while playing Borderlands and noticed Halo 2 is at the front of the list. It has 0 of 0 achievements unlocked with a 0Gs.
I have never seen it on my list since its an original Xbox game. I do have it for PC but that shows up with the achievements also. Could they be doing a god of war collection thing where they rerelease it with achievements? (id really love that) sorry if this is nothing/old news.

This is right, but the info about the displayed Originals are wrong. A player will indeed see the Xbox Original game in his own Played Games list, but others won't. Only they will.

THE HERO DOLL is bought from all good gift stores around albion for about 300g, this is the naked doll with UK boxers on, he IS needed for the achievement.
The other dolls are represented by the other heros in the game.

You only collect them ONCE, once sold or given to another player the only way to aquire the weapon again is to recieve it off another player, be cautious in you barganing

Dragon Age: Origins Issues...
Im having an issue with the game. I got it today, and it seems with my archer character, when I hit A for attack, in the middle of him loading up his bow, he just randomly runs to the side, and my hands are OFF the controller....Is this a glitch? Or does everyone have this problem..?It happends on occasion..Like during that first Orge fight it happend a LOT. Choose 'Recover Gamertag' and simply input the needed information! As long as your account was connect to Xbox LVIE at some point in time, you'll be able to get it back. If you only played offline, I'm pretty sure it's lost.

Choose 'Recover Gamertag' and simply input the needed information! As long as your account was connect to Xbox LVIE at some point in time, you'll be able to get it back. If you only played offline, I'm pretty sure it's lost.

agreed, of course you can recover an XBL profile, people do it all the time. and once you recover it, it might even re-attach itself to your gamesaves (most likely will anyway)

OK, so I have an xbox with a hard drive on the third floor of my house. My bedroom is on the first floor of my house and I want an xbox for down there too. Hey guys i just got AC2 for chirstmas and i was wondering how long it is so that i can pace myself when playing. I have the first one and in that i always tend to do view points of the areaand a couple side missions firstbefore doing the mission then finishing up whatever i miseed after. I plan on doing the same with this and all the extra sidee missions and dungeons. So basically how long does it take to do everything in the game lol (cept for the feathers cause i hate doing those things). Thankshow long is AC2?

I am in my 3rd season with Colchester United in the Championship, just promoted with 3 and a half stars of reputation, I can't seem to sign players, the most interest in your club percentage is 35, surely with 3 and a half stars, some players want to play for my club.The players I try to sign say they are not sure if they would get a starting place in my team, even thoughone of them wasa midfielderwith anoverall of 68 and my best midfielder is 67, they're obviously going to be in my starting 11!How high does my reputation have to be to sign 1 player??????

word of advice, call them and cancel auto renewal, if you have a credit card connected to your account they will automaticly take money off your card and renew it for you
Yeah, the auto renewal can be a pain if you've put card info on your system for something besides xbox live. You can now cancel the auto-renew through xbox.com account management if you want to :)

I read the onlu way to be sure a console is Jasper is to check the back at the power outlet and look for a 12.1 ampage rating. Well I went to Gamestop and the rating was just slightly obscured by the box to where I couldn't see it. I bought it anyway expecting the worst. I get home and check and I got a Jasper! Wooo

Jasper's are the newest combination of GPU and CPUs....they use less heat and therefore are less prone to problems. And for the record any console regardless of version manufactured in 2009 in going to be a Jasper (at least in the U.S.).

Is my Xbox going to Overheat?
I bought a refurbished xbox pro for christmas.It seems fine and everything, except when the system is on, the fan is always on. Its not really loud though.However, when I put a game in, it gets louder and i'm afraid its going to overheat. I only have 2 games right now so I just put them on the HD and that eliminated the noise but i can't put ALL my games on the HD when I get more in the future.Am I freaking out over nothing? :\Is my Xbox going to Overheat?

It's always going to be on. Downloading to the hard drive allows the fan to not run while playing, but it doesn't really matter if it is, I mean that's what the 360 is made for, to run like a machine. Just don't play it for like 10 hours straight at a time and you'll be good :P

I guess it's safer to install games to HDD to be on the safe site, and you don't need to put ALL the games on it, just a few selected games that you play ;)

I got a refurb back from microsoft after recievingt he RROD, mines makes alot of noise whilst playing games too and also vibrates my whole TV stand too. Dont worry about it though especially if you have a warranty as the customer service is great and i got my 360 back within 10 days of it breaking with 1 months xbox live for free.
I'm not the kind of gamer to play for hours and hours at once.So I think i'll be alright. XD

Okay , I just got done playing The Darkness and Bioshock back to back and let me tell you , The Darkness was far more enjoyable to me .. Alright so I'm currently deployed and finally got my XBL set up here. It's pretty cool except for the fact that some games I find join any matchmaking games. I'll start searching for players but it will never find anyone. I'm guessing it's because I'm in Iraq so it's looking for other Iraqi players. Yeah I can connect with friends in any game but since I'm 10 hours ahead alot of the time my friends arent online when I'd like to play. It's like this on ODST, Gears, IL-2... Well most all of my games besides Uno and Left 4 Dead.

It's an excellent game if you can handle turn-based combat games. It's personally my favorite but a lot of people complained about it. By the way the random enemy encounters aren't TOO frequent if that thing bothers you. I would go with this game or Tales of Vesperia.

Cheap and Best : $4.99 in Bestbuy = Enchanted Arms. Great game to play, and easy achievement booster too, since all the achievements are strictly story based. Play the game, and it is physically impossible under any circumstances to miss them.

Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata are excellent games. Lost Odyssey is good as well, but ToV and ES are far superior in my opinion. You can probably find all 3 for fairly cheap now.

Trouble getting on live in Iraq
I am stationed out here in Iraq and I can log into live and even play if I host private game thing is don't have many gamertags as I used to only play PS3 but got the XBOX out here in Iraq; well if anyone wants to add me my gamertag is machete4u been mostly playing modern warfare 2 my NAT is open and I'm using Jackal as internet it is satellite not sure why it never actually finds other player on multiplayer maybe cause it's sattelite. I just bought a Microsoft xbox360 Wireless headset from EB this morning and the lights would not come on to say it was charging ,So I left it plugged in for 6 hours in the xbox360 and still nothing .I tried to charge it on a PC and still no Joy.So I took it back and got another new one and this one is as dead as the 1st one . So I looked around the internet ( should have done that 1st) and found that these things are a complete pile of junk .How is this allowed ?Xbox 360 Wireless Headset junk ?

I took the 2nd new one back to the store and they refused to replace it .The store manager has had all this shipment of Wireless headsets returned faulty and he does not have a new one to swap mine out and he refused to give me store credit or a refund . I called Microsoft and they told me to plug it back into my console for another 12 hours ? are you kidding me ,like I want to run my Xbox360 for 12 hours straight and risk rrod just for a wireless headset . I'm disgusted with the whole situation for $59.99 it should be a perfect piece of hardware .

But moreover, you don't even need to have your 360 turned on to charge stuff...
My wireless headset is almost 2 years old and its still working as if I bought it yesterday. Maybe your just unlucky.

I bought the Halo wireless headset a year ago and from the second I used it my friends were complaining that I was cutting out, so I switched back and forth between the wired and wireless and without fail the wired worked great and the wireless cut out. I sold the wireless one not shortly after.Also, the Earforce X1's are a terrible suggestion if you just want a headset, the X1's are more effective if you want the game's sound in your ear too.

They die to but last much longer. Thank god I got it from Wal-Mart because they have a 90 day warranty. Those Microsoft wireless headsets are a joke and they are indeed utter crap. Never abused em yada yada.. they just randomly go out.. they either don't charge or power on etc. Hell, I even had a controller start actin up on me a few years ago...a DAMN CONTROLLER! That said, go back to wired or get a turtle beach. I hope Microsoft takes hardware RELIABILITY into HIGH consideration when doing the next xbox and accessories.

I got mine a year ago and its worked great. Only downside is me forgetting to charge it and it running out during a long gaming session online.
They charge using the USB cable, so if you are worried about using your 360 to charge it you can always use your PC instead. Anyway if you have it plugged in and charging on your console when you switch the console off your controllers will continue to charge until they are full, then they switch off. In that state your 360 is essentially off, just still giving power to the USB sockets to charge controllers or headsets.
I think people just treat their products poorly. I have a Zephyr chipset ''prone to failure'' a wireless Xbox headset (that I used to use before I got my X41s) and my original Xbox headset. Nothing has broken on me.
the xbox ones are garbage. between the fact that they die in very short order, are very expensive for the junk you get and the non-bluetooth connectivity they just arent worth buying. i stick to the turtles now and probably will forever. short of that its the oem wireone. i wish they used bluetooth to connect up like the ps3 but weres the money in that. imagine being able to use any headset you wanted.
