Mass Effect DLC any good?

I just started playing mass effect for the first time, only 5 hours into it about. I saw on marketplace that there are 2 DLC packs, are they any good? Are they basically just a new location set of missions like any other missiong where you got to a planet and you have about 1-2 hrs of gameplay to do a few missions? they worth it?Mass Effect DLC any good?
I think Bring Down The Sky is worth it (haven't played it yet), but the Gamespot review of Pinnacle Station makes it seem like a waste of time.Mass Effect DLC any good?
Bringing Down the Sky is fairly good and worth a few 400 points but Pinnacle Station's been not to be.
Depends how much you get into Mass Effect and just go exploring on your own. If you just want to stick to the main story, then they don't add much to it. If you do enjoy going everywhere and doing everything, then they probably are worth it for you.



I enjoyed Bring Down the Sky, and thought it was ok for the price. Mission length is shorter than a main plot mission, but longer than the Moon mission - avoiding spoilers, but when you get there you will understand.



Not sure about Pinnacle Station, as I don't have that, though it is meant to be much more focused on combat rather than role-playing, and that is a reason many reviewers marked it down, as an expansion to an RPG they expected more role-play and not just combat.



As for activating the DLC, they will not be available instantly on a new game, but once you are able to leave the Citadel and choose where you want to go you will have the freedom to start the DLC packs. There is also a final cut-off towards the end of the game when you start going on the final missions, but that point will make itself fairly obvious and of course you can make a save game there before doing anything.
Only 5 hours into it and already thinking about buying the dlc. Lol. Why don't you finish the game first.

Well if he finished it first he wouldn't be able to access the DLC until he starts again :P



The DLC fits in well with the rest of the game and just plays like additional missions. Bring Down the Sky gives you some nice item rewards upon completion which are usefull in the rest of the game, so a nice bonus for playing it.
ME is one of my favorite games.I have completed it several times. I have both DLC packs. I liked Bring down the sky; meshed with the game very well.Pinnacle station, I didn't like nearly as much. Only get it if you are very into ME. Even then, it likely isn't worth it.
IMHO: ''pinnacle station'' is extremely crap, ''bring down the sky'' is pretty good and worth it.
BDtS is very good, but Pinnacle is boring and has no proper story.
before i read what people were saying here i was going to get pinicale station later but after reading comments on it i think i'll pass
