Thanks. I'd like to be as sure as possible. I'm gonna replace my old Xbox because the NIC stopped working.

I read the onlu way to be sure a console is Jasper is to check the back at the power outlet and look for a 12.1 ampage rating. Well I went to Gamestop and the rating was just slightly obscured by the box to where I couldn't see it. I bought it anyway expecting the worst. I get home and check and I got a Jasper! Wooo
good stuff man ..falcons arent that bad but not better than the jasper ...if you have or get a zephyr though ...sorry it will fail lol

Sorry for being a complete dumbass but could someone enlighten me on what these Jasper models means? and the other models? this whole thread has been confusing XD
Jasper's are the newest combination of GPU and CPUs....they use less heat and therefore are less prone to problems. And for the record any console regardless of version manufactured in 2009 in going to be a Jasper (at least in the U.S.).
i wish people would show sources for the facts they produce instead of just repearing mis information that they have read on previous posts on forums.

Electronics do not use heat. What he is trying to say is that the Jasper models use less electricity and therefore create much less heat.

Sources are so overrated. Seriously, everywhere, people are ''cite that, source this'' blah blah blah. This whole source stuff is garbage. People can have correct information, but not remember where they got it (I learned a bunch of stuff that I got an A on my Essay in school for, but I did not read a single book so had no ''ethos'' or citations), and they post it on the forums. If you are looking for a source, go to a scholarly forum.Anyways, The 12.1 amps is the best way to check for Jasper or not.
