HD 360 help please

How would I set my 360 up for HD? I have the tv, and the cord that u plug in the system and the tv, but do i also need those 3 multi colored things that u plug into the back of the tv or am i set?HD 360 help please

You also need to go to console settings, go to display, and change the setting to 720p,1080p, or whatever your tv has. You also need to change the switch on the cord that plugs into the back of your xbox to HDTVHD 360 help please
by multi colored things i mean the ones that arent the original red white and yellow. I mean the ones that are like blue and green i think
