Jasper in Elite?

I have the very first Xbox 360, the one without the hdmi port on the back. It heats up pretty fast and makes alot of noise, but i have had it for about 2 years and i have never had a problem with it. I want an Xbox 360 Elite but i was wondering if the new Jasper chipset is going to be in the Elites. If they are, when will they be in stores with the new chipsets?Jasper in Elite?

the Jasper should i have shipped by now...they came out in august...its really impossible to tell b/c of the falcon chips...but if you read anything on the box or the console that has any power consumption lower than 175watt than you can count on it being Jasper...i personally want the Valhalla chipset, the most powerful of the three or four: Xenon, Falcon, Ophus (in refurbished consoles only), and Jasper. Valhalla is a super chipset that combines the cpu and the GPU. anyway hope that helps
hey korea how u find out which one you have?i got mine in march this year,just curious.
The stores don't even have the Jaspers yetThen the stores that get them have to go through their old inventory before you start seeing them on shelves
From what I've heard the Jaspers will start to hit stores around the end of September. The Elites will be the first to start to get them as well. They probably won't reliably show up until all of the older Falcon models have been sold first though.
ya if it does come out at the end of september, thts when i should have the $400 for it
Well im looking to buy a new XBOX 360 but i really want to be sure i get one with the Jasper Motherboard.



Now from what i have gathered the new Arcade Models of the 360 all have the Jasper. BUT only some of the Elites in stores have it. Now hopefully somebody can help me find a way to make sure that i buy an Elite XBOX 360 with the Jasper Motherboard. I had the Original 360 but it RROD now i planning to buy a new elite but i need to be SURE i get the Jasper

I hear the Limited Edition RE5 Red Elites have Jasper chipsets in it, the black ones well I don't think they do yet.
I think some of the new Arcade units have them.
Well do you know when MC will start making the Elite or ''Black One'' with the Jasper?

Valhalla is a super chipset that combines the cpu and the GPU. anyway hope that helps[/QUOTE]The Valhalla wont be any more powerful than even the xenon,it's just gonna run cooler and be cheaper to manufacture.You wont find any visual or audio difference between a Xenon,Falcon,Jasper,Valhalla or Opus.So if you're gonna wait and wait for one of these newer versions then you're just wasting good gaming time,when you could have a Good 360 now and be joining in on XBox Live.

Im not to worried about speed i just want to have a Jasper because they run cooler and i do not want another dead XBOX due to Melting Video cards AND how can you tell if your XBOX has a Jasper?

The new Arcades have them. Also, the Resident Evil 5 red Elite that I have is a Jasper.
I have an RE5 Red Elite and it's a Jasper. The power supply is 150w. It was manufactured in Jan 09.
I know this thread is old, so what is the latest on the status of Jasper in the standard Elite 360s?
